Who can plan a trip to Turkey?
There are 1,248 verified travel companies in Turkey listed here, across 9 categories: DMCs and tour operators, accommodation, licensed guides, experiences, wellness, photography, transfers and MICE. Every one has passed four checks before appearing — the legal entity confirmed in Turkey, the operating licence confirmed with TÜRSAB and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, current professional liability insurance, and at least two client references contacted by phone. Reviews come only from confirmed working relationships. Instead of emailing companies one at a time, you can describe your trip once and receive priced, comparable offers from the operators that actually match it — free, with no obligation, and with the booking made directly with the company rather than through this site.

The difference between a good trip to Turkey and a frustrating one is rarely the itinerary on paper. It is whether the company running it has staff, contracts and licences inside the country, or is coordinating by email from somewhere else and marking up a local supplier it has never met.
Cave hotels in Göreme and Ürgüp are small, and the good rooms are held on allocation from January. A locally present operator also fields a Turkish-speaking person at 6am when a transfer fails, which is when it matters.
When you shortlist companies in Turkey, two questions separate the two kinds quickly: which services are operated in-house rather than subcontracted, and what happens if a transfer fails at 6am. The specificity of the answers tells you almost everything.
April to early June and September to October are the strongest windows. Cappadocia balloons fly year-round but are grounded by wind roughly one morning in five, which is why a serious itinerary carries a second attempt.
Budget expectation matters as much as timing. Mid to upper-mid programmes in Turkey typically run €110–300 per person per day, among the strongest value in Europe, excluding international flights. Naming a range in your request is not a weakness — it is what lets a company quote something concrete rather than opening with clarifying questions.
Single-morning balloon bookings. Operators that sell a flight with no fallback day are transferring the weather risk to the traveller, and this is the most common source of disappointment in Cappadocia.
On guiding specifically: Professional tourist guide licences are mandatory at Ephesus, Hierapolis, Topkapı and most major sites, and inspections are routine. This is one of the reasons the licence check exists — an unlicensed guide is a legal exposure for the traveller as well as the operator.
Turkish agencies hold a TÜRSAB licence in group A, B or C, and only group A may sell full packages to foreign travellers. Verification checks both the group and that the licence is current.
Verification is re-run annually and immediately on any substantiated complaint, and expired insurance suspends a listing automatically. What it does not do is guarantee taste, guarantee the lowest price, or replace the financial protection that package travel rules and your payment method provide. Saying so plainly is the point: a badge that quietly implies more than it checks transfers risk to the traveller while collecting the credit.
